Cape Town - Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, seemed to be taken aback when a reporter asked if she’d miss Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan, Duchess of Sussex.
Following the Sussexes’ decision to become independent, Camilla’s response to whether or not she’ll miss them following their royal exit is very telling, according to some.
Prince Charles' wife was visiting the Prospect Hospice in England to celebrate the organisation’s 40th anniversary when she was abruptly asked by a reporter if she’d miss her stepson and his wife, according to PEOPLE.
"Hmmm", Camilla (72) said, pausing for a moment, and then added with a smile, “Of course” before proceeding to the event.
The clip, which was shared on Twitter by ITV’s royal editor Chris Ship, received more than 80 000 views, with some users describing the duchess’ response as “shady”, FoxNews reported.
“Yup, she’s pretty cool. Queen of shade!” one user commented on the clip.
“Reading too much into it. She was probably taken off guard by the question,” another added.
