Cape Town - It’s not every day someone throws shade at Queen Elizabeth II – but it seems Thomas Markle has a few things to get off his chest.
The Duchess of Sussex’s father has expressed surprise that the queen will meet “arrogant and insensitive” Donald Trump before meeting him.
“If the queen is willing to meet our arrogant, ignorant, and insensitive president she has no excuse not to meet me, I’m nowhere near as bad,” Thomas said.
In an interview with TMZ, Meghan’s dad (73) revealed that he felt ostracised and “frozen out” by the royal family after his tell-all interview with Good Morning Britain earlier this month and claims he has not communicated with them since.
In the interview with the British talk show, for which he allegedly got paid, Thomas revealed Prince Harry had once told him over the phone to “give Trump a chance” – which is precisely what Her Majesty seems to be doing.

The queen is scheduled to meet the US president on 13 July at Windsor Castle – Trump’s first visit to the UK since his 2016 election, reports Sky News.
According to TMZ, in spite of all the family drama, Meghan’s father still has every intention of paying his new in-laws and his daughter a visit sometime soon.
