This year's Met Gala theme, The Garden of Time, is inspired by the title of JG Ballard's short story which explores humanity's relationship to creation and destruction, as well as the Costume Institute of the Metropolitan Museum of Art's latest exhibition, Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion.
Most of the A-list celebs, billionaires, influencers, and fashionistas who attended took the theme literally taking inspiration from flowers, petals, branches and leaves, while others played with the story's themes of time and history.
