Cape Town - Meghan (37) has done an exceptional job getting to know the royal family and the various protocols that come with them.

She’s even won the favour of Queen Elizabeth II and has been seen on more than one occasion giggling alongside the 92-year-old when they’ve attended royal engagements together.

But it seems not everyone is excited to be in the company of the former Suits star.

According to British writer, Lady Colin Campbell (69) - who was a good friend a confidant of the late Princess Diana and still keeps in contact with the rest of the royal family – The Duchess of Sussex does not fit in with Prince Harry’s (34) friends and is far too liberal for their taste, reports The Daily Beast.

“Her politics are an issue. She is ultra-liberal and that trendy-lefty stuff does not go down well with some of Harry’s friends,” she said.

“He has introduced her to them all at parties and weddings and private dinners, but she is very anti-a lot of the things that their world functions upon, such as shooting,” she adds.

It appears that the duchess’ views are rubbing off on Prince Harry, who skipped the traditional 2018 Boxing Day shoot and Balmoral Castle grouse hunting last month, activities he had partaken in since he was a boy, reports Fox News.

She said further that the Duchess of Sussex may be better equipped than most to deal with the solitary side of royal life because of her past as an actress, adding that Princess Diana struggled, writes Metro.

One of the duchess’ former close friends told People earlier this month that the 37-year-old has lost touch with some of her close friends from before the wedding.

“She’s finding it hard to know who to trust,” they added.
