If senior officials of the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality do not provide more information on a proposed R25 million procurement of "security vehicles", the Freedom Front (FF) Plus may make a U-turn on its vote after initially siding with an ANC-led coalition on the controversial item.
News24 recently reported that the ANC and its coalition partners were looking to purchase vehicles for yet-to-be-identified councillors and officials in a city that is battling to deliver services.
The ANC and its voting partners have been accused of ramming the vote through a finance and emergency committee meeting, hence the item will now be tabled at an upcoming council meeting.
