The Cape Town Summer Challenge unfolded in a blaze of martial arts prowess as the Brackenfell Shotokan Karate Academy played host to this thrilling event. With a total of 13 dojos, 186 competitors, 36 teams, and an impressive 406 entries, the tournament buzzed with excitement and anticipation.
Brackenfell Shotokan Karate Academy clinched 97 medals, of which 41 gold, 32 silver and 24 bronze.
Their outstanding performance didn’t stop there. With a total score of 2 485, Brackenfell Shotokan Karate Academy claimed the coveted first place for the tournament.
Adding to their triumph, three of their students emerged victorious, achieving first place in the top 10 competitors.
