The Duchess of Cambridge has one piece of advice everyone should remember

accreditation

Cape Town – Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge revealed the one thing she always tells her kids – and its pretty damn good advice.

The revelation happened during a visit to Basildon Sporting Village in Essex alongside husband, Prince William on Tuesday.

Janet Emery, a client of Sport for Confidence– which is a partner organisation of Coach Core, the apprenticeship programme which helps young people who are not in education, employment or training to build a career in sports coaching – revealed Kate’s warm response after they shared a hug.

“Hugs are very important. I keep saying that to my children,” Kate told Janet E! Newsreported.

While in the past hugging or even touching a royal was unheard of, today's royals are often seen embracing cuddles from their adoring fans.

As for their immediate family, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have often said they strive to give their children a ‘normal’ upbringing which very likely includes an abundance of hugs.

Speaking about raising their children, William told BBC News in 2016: “As far as we're concerned, within our family unit we are a normal family. I love my children the same way any father does and I hope George loves me the same way any son does to his father, so we are very normal in that sense.”

William and Kate spent their Tuesday afternoon meeting apprentices and graduates of Coach Core and learned about how the Essex location is inviting local communities to get involved in the initiative.
