Cape Town – Meghan Markle reportedly enjoyed a private spa-themed bridal shower with a few of her friends ahead of her baptism into the Church of England.

A source confirmed to Us Weekly the close friend to the royal couple Markus Anderson organised the low-key soirée at Soho Farmhouse in London over the weekend.

According to the venue’s website, Soho Farmhouse offers various accommodation options and has indoor heated pools, a sap, tennis courts, a cinema, a five-a-side football pitch and horse stables.

A source told E! News: “Markus Anderson has helped throw the shower for Meghan and a small group of mostly her London friends. It's just a relaxing day of good food and pampering.”

Guests in attendance included Lindsay Jill Roth and Heather Dorak.

The private bridal shower comes ahead of two very busy months before Meghan marries Prince Harry at St George’s Chapel on 19 May.

The former Suits actress is set to become baptised and confirmed in the Church of England later this week.

A palace source confirmed to E! News that the baptism will take place at the Kensington Palace chapel and be performed by Archbishop Justin Welby. Meghan’s mother Doria Radlan, as well as her father Thomas Markle, will reportedly be in attendance.

Meghan will also make her first official appearance alongside Queen Elizabeth during Commonwealth Day at London’s Westminster Abbey. The rest of the royal family will also be in attendance.
