Actor and producer Mmabatho Montsho took to social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) to confirm that she has pulled out of an interview on Metro FM's Best Mornings show on account of the station's plans to interview a survivor of the Hamas attack on Israel, that took place on 7 October last year. The move has since been labelled "pro-Israel" by a handful of Metro FM listeners and social media users.

The actor was meant to chronicle the stories that reflect the joys of telling African stories and share her views on the freedom found in arts, as part of the SABC's continued celebrations of international women's month and Human Rights Day celebrations.

However, as the station was creating interest for the interview with Montsho, it also shared a post on Instagram of a planned interview with Millet Ben Haim, the Israeli survivor of the Hamas attack.
