Kung Fu Panda kicked off its highly successful franchise in 2008; the movies alone have generated over $1 billion.

The Kung Fu Panda brand has also extended into several series (one running for five years), specials, plays and, of course, video games. One of the reasons why it has been able to sustain such longevity is the high quality of the first film in 2008 and the worthy cinematic follow-up in 2011.
