ACTRESS and singer Boitumelo Masemola channels her talents into helping others in their healing journeys and guiding them towards finding inner light.

The former City Ses'la actress started a series of live Instagram sessions, called The Wednesday Date Night

This platform has quickly become a safe space for people, especially parents. It offers them comfort as they navigate the complexities of separation, divorce, bereavement, and the aftermath of accidents.

The 41-year-old Joburg-based actress shared with Daily Sun her vision behind The Wednesday Date Night.

"The #WednesdayDateNight is about all of us who are mature with children. It helps us guide one another in attracting and building healthy romantic relationships that benefit us and our kids. It's inspired by my healing journey and belief that true and unconditional love exists," Boitumelo said.

The actress said most people struggle due to limiting beliefs brought by past negative experiences.

"It's a platform to share experiences and help one another heal. It also guides and help us attract and experience unconditional love," she said.

"Last Wednesday on 17 April, I was unable to host the IG Live due to a band rehearsal. I've been blessed to find hard-working music lovers, and we've started a band called TUMI NAMA GENTS," she said.

The actress described herself as a storyteller whose mission is to use her skills to tell good and uplifting homegrown stories.

"I develop shows and stories of my own. I also collaborate with others. I work as a freelance script writer and consulting producer. I also mentor young people on skills development in acting, script writing, and story development. I remain open to acting, should the role and story be compelling."

Her advice to aspiring film and TV industry professionals is straightforward: "Trust your instincts, stay true to yourself, and embrace the creation of opportunities and collaborations. Remember, success in film and television is a collective endeavour," she said.

The actress is also best known for her role as Miriam in Samsokolo, where she acted alongside Nomsa Buthelezi and Lucky Legodi.
