Johannesburg – US sports star Tim Tebow just shared his father's speech from his wedding rehearsal dinner, and it's the cutest thing.
In the clip, Tim's dad, Robert, talks about the first time that he met Demi-Leigh.
"It was a year ago; I was up in New York to see Timmy play baseball for the Mets organisation. We were sitting on his bed, I think we were watching something on TV and talking a little, and he got a telephone call, or I'm not sure if he called Demi, I don't remember which way it went," he starts.
"He [Tim] went over to the other side [of the room], and he was sitting there FaceTiming with Demi. And after a few minutes, he said, 'Dad, come here. I want you to meet somebody'. I stood there, and I met Demi on the phone, and I watched the two of them talk."
Robert says after watching his son interact with Demi, he had only one thing on his mind. "I said, 'Demi, I'm ready to come to South Africa for a wedding'." The guests are heard laughing as Tim confirms that's exactly what his father said. To which his dad adds: "Here I am!"
Tim and Former Miss SA/Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters tied the knot in the Western Cape in mid-January.
The couple had a number of famous faces fly in for their big day, including singer Matthew Mole who wrote and performed the song that the pair shared their first dance to.
