Johannesburg – Visiting the Trending SA set, legendary actor Jerry Mofokeng spent some time talking about what it was like working on Drake’s short film Please Forgive Me.
Chatting about how he got the part in the movie, Jerry says his agent called him up, but played down the role just a little.
“My agent calls me and says: 'Look, these guys are asking for you. They’re inviting you to go and do this. Would you like to? It’s really nothing big, nothing special, a little detour’,” he explains.
The film star says he took up the opportunity, looking forward the adventure. And even though he only had a few lines to start out with, and no script, Jerry says once his performance started, his amount of dialogue and scenes quickly increased.
“The more they see me doing things, the more they increase the dialogue, and the scenes, and so on. So we shoot in Sandton, and we shoot in town, and we go and shoot in Kliptown. And it was great fun. But it was an adventure, that’s all that it was.”
