Mona Monyane has given birth to a baby girl. The actress took to Instagram and gushed over her new bundle of joy, who was born at 6.52pm on Thursday 16 November. She also gushes over how the little girl, named Amani-Amaza Wamazulu Skenjana, is the “spitting image of her big sister”.
Mona and her actor hubby, Khulu Skenjana, are already parents to 15-month-old Ase-Ahadi. They found out Mona was expecting again when Ase-Ahadi was just seven months old.
Despite their joy, the couple received backlash for Mona’s second pregnancy so soon after Ase-Ahadi was born (Nobody else’s business, DRUM 16 November). Speaking to DRUM, Mona said when she posted a picture of her baby bump she got comments like “I think it is too soon. I agree that it is your body but too soon”. She brushed off the negativity though.
Meanwhile, the happy family is besotted with their new member, and Mona even mentions how she and Khulu “made twins a year apart”.
