We’re in day 8 of the 21-day national lockdown, and as coronavirus cases rise, the shortage of masks seems to be another looming crisis, as it’s been globally.

Answering the call for help, SHOUT SA, founded by singers Danny K and Kabelo Mabalane in collaboration with SMD Technologies, has launched an initiative called Shout4Masks.

It serves as an answer to the call of duty, where every citizen and those in corporate are being encouraged to do their bit to ensure those who protect us are also protected. This is one way we can unite and intensify the fight against the virus.

Danny announced the launch of the initiative on Twitter this morning.

“Today @SHOUTSA launches shout4masks.co.za. Purchasing life saving masks for our hero’s on the frontlines + the most vulnerable. We procure these masks at COST price – so your money achieves maximum impact.A pack of 10 masks (medical and civilian grade) for only R100 [sic],” he tweeted.
