Charlize Theron will star in season 4 of Lockdown says producer

Renowned TV producer, Mandla Ngcongwane is at it again.

The musician who starred on SABC 1 sitcom City Ses'la recently told Drum about his future plans for his Mzansi Magic hit drama Lockdown.

In the last season of the prison drama, he brought in Hollywood star, Tichina Arnold  to guest star in the show but for the next season he says he is bringing out the big guns.

“I am bringing Charlize Theron for season 4. She will start shooting in February next year. We’ve also released a soundtrack, we are doing amazing things,” he told Drum proudly.

Academy Award winning actress, Charlize Theron is an American actress and film producer born in Benoni, Johannesburg.

Last year, it was reported that Charlize Theron was considering taking her first South African movie role, Susan Nell in the adaptation of the South African novel, The Boer Whore.

According to Mandla he has beat them to it.

Although it is still not clear which role the Oscar Award winning actress will take on, it has been  confirmed that she will be joining the amazing cast of Zola Nombona, Pamela Nomvete and Thembi Nyandeni.

Charlize has appeared in several American movies including The Devil's Advocate alongside Keanu Reeves and Al Pacino, The Astronaut's Wife with Johnny Depp in 1999 and won the Academy Award for her role as Aileen Wuornos in the crime drama Monster in 2003.
