Rapper AKA is known for throwing punchlines and disses, but have you ever wondered how the Supermega reacts when on the receiving end? Well, thanks to Comedy Central we’ll get to witness it all in February 2019.
Taking to Instagram to make the announcement, Comedy Central Africa revealed that the next South African star to be roasted on their international roast franchise would be the Fela In Versace Hit-maker.
“THE SUPA MEGA @akaworldwide, is getting ROASTED!!! Will he come out a fella in BURNT Versace, or will the end be a victory lap?? Get those tickets and come witness the HEAT. #RoastofAKA @showmaxonline ,” they wrote.
Never being one to back down from a challenge, AKA said the previous roasts would not compare to his coming roast.
“Every roast before this was practice. Take a seat, Bon Appetite,” he told People.
In 2018 , viewers saw TV and radio personality, Somizi Mhlongo as well as panelists including Nomzamo Mbatha and Fikile Mbalula getting roasted during the Roast of Somizi which happened in March at Goldreef City in Johannesburg.
The Roast of AKA will take place on 21 February at the Teatro, Montecasino in Johannesburg and tickets are available to the public from computicket.
