Rapper AKA has confirmed his split from his baby mama, DJ Zinhle, following weeks of speculation over their relationship.

Speaking during an interview on Metro FM on Wednesday, the Fela In Versace hit-maker told the show’s hosts, DJs Sphectacular and Naves that he was a single man.

“It’s been a crazy start to the year. I had to go away you know. I went on holiday, I was just speaking off air. I went for a very cold holiday,” he began before confirming the break-up.

“As people might have noticed it’s my first holiday being a single man for many, many years,” he said.

And even though the hosts tried to get more information about the break-up, the rapper refused to give details and swiftly moved on to speaking about his music.

Reports of their break-up began surfacing last week when Sunday World  reported on how the couple had broken up for the second time.

“The two lovebirds, considered one of Mzansi’s IT couple, allegedly ended their romantic relationship in December following numerous disagreements about interference in their relationship,” the publication wrote.

But neither Zinhle nor AKA had confirmed the rumours, until recently when AKA broke his silence on the matter.

It is not the first time that the two had gone their separate ways. In 2015 the pair had broken up after AKA cheated on DJ Zinhle with TV personality, Bonang.

Shortly after that, Bonang and AKA become couple goals and went on to date for two years before splitting up in 2017.

AKA then reunited with his baby mama, DJ Zinhle in 2019 and now their relationship has come to an end.

Here’s what tweeps had to say about the couple’s second break-up.
