This Game of Thrones death was so bad we didn't get to see it on screens

Cape Town – Game of Thrones is known for its vicious deaths but there was one so bad we didn’t even see it on screen.

If you’re wondering what happened to King Tommen’s (Dean-Charles Chapman) beloved cat Ser Pounce - he is no longer in the land of the living.

But what happened to him after Tommen committed suicide and Cersei (Lena Headey) crowned herself queen in season 6?

Ser Pounce in Game of Thrones.

Showrunner David Benioff told Entertainment Weekly that Cersei hated the name so much that "she came up with her most diabolical [execution]. Ser Pounce’s death was so horrible we couldn’t even put it on the air."

Showrunner David Weiss added that there is an entire episode dedicated to his death in the super-extended, super-charged Game of Thrones box set which is set to be released later this year.

The creators also revealed that the cat wasn’t easy to work with.

RIP Ser Pounce.
