Cape Town - Although Steven Spielberg has previously voiced his concerns towards growing streaming services, his latest project is specifically for mobile phones.
CNN reports that the acclaimed director is writing on a horror series that can only be watched at night for Quibi, a mobile-focused streaming service that will launch in April 2020.
Founder Jeffrey Katzenberg revealed the streaming service's programming plan at the Banff World Media Festival on Sunday.
He went on to say the Steven approached them saying 'I have a super scary story I want to do', reports Variety.
The series will be titled Spielberg's After Dark and will be a 10-12 chapter story, of which he has already written five or six episodes.
It will only be viewable at night with a clock appearing on the app that counts down until nighttime with the episodes only available until sunrise. They will disappear from the app until the next day.
