Cape Town - Nicole Kidman's Big Little Lies wardrobe will
not be as "luxurious" as the first season because her "survival
mechanism has kicked in".
The Academy Award-winning actress reprises her role as Celeste in the Emmy-Award winning show.
At the end of the first season, her character's abusive husband Perry (Alexander Skarsgard) was killed.
In an interview with British Vogue costume designer Alix Friedberg reveals that Celeste will wear clothes that will reflect her state of mind.
She will wear T-shirts and soft knits and even Perry's old shirts.
"You can sometimes see her wearing Perry's old T-shirts and sweatshirts – things she can still smell him on – and that's another expression of her grief", said Friedberg.
