Cape Town – Netflix has renewed the devilish series, Lucifer for a fifth and final season.
The streaming service picked up the show after it was cancelled by Fox last year.
The show centres on Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) the fallen angel and the Lord of Hell, who works with the LAPD to take down criminals. Other cast members include also stars Lauren German, Kevin Alejandro, D.B. Woodside, Lesley-Ann Brandt, Scarlett Estevez, and Rachael Harris.
Season 4 premiered on Netflix in May with rave reviews and has 100% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The show's official Twitter account announced on Thursday that the show will end after its fifth and final season.

Tom also shared the news on his Instagram account. He wrote: "Well it’s been one Hell of a journey (pun intended) but thanks to our wonderful fans and the success of season 4 @Netflix has decided to give us a final season so we can finish our story properly...?????? #lucifer @lucifernetflix #luciferseason5"
