Multichoice award show attendees in Lagos asked to self-isolate
The Ministry of Health in Lagos, Nigeria has sent out an alert that people who attended the Africa Magic Viewers Choice Awards' (AMVCA) may have come into contact with one of the confirmed cases of coronavirus in the country.
The annual Multichoice awards show which recognises outstanding achievement in television and film was held on Saturday, 14 March at Eko Hotels in Lagos despite the growing global pandemic.
The star-studded ceremony, which was aired on TV, was followed by an after-party.
On Tuesday the health ministry in Nigeria tweeted on their official account that attendees may have come into contact with someone who has the virus and called on everyone who was there to self-isolate and to contact the helpline if they experience any symptoms.

Nigeria has 44 confirmed cases of Covid-19, with 29 of those cases in Lagos.
