Cape Town - It’s no secret that Kanye West is a rather interesting and controversial artist – no one seems to understand anything he does, wears or says most of the time, but this next project might just help a lot of people understand him better.

Recent reports by Deadline say that "Showtime has put in development Omniverse, a limited half-hour anthology series from Kanye West, Scooter Braun’s SB Projects, Westbrook Studios and writer Lee Sung Jin (Undone), with Jaden Smith attached to star and executive produce."

In this series, Jaden Smith will play a young Kanye West - where "the many doors of perception" will be examined, says the show’s writer. The first season is set to explore the ego through an alternate reality.

"Omniverse is not set in our world nor about our world’s Kanye West as we aim to add a new spin on alternate realities, consciousness, and push the limits of half hour narrative," Lee continues.

So, it’s definitely bound to be quite intriguing.
