HBO releases new images of 'Game of Thrones' finale after fans start petition to redo the season

Cape Town – With the Game of Thrones finale only days away HBO has released new pictures from the upcoming episode.

The network has only revealed two images from the super-secret episode.

In the first photo Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) in the ruins of King's Landing with a downcast impression on his face.

The other image shows Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke) giving what seems to be a victory speech to her army; the Unsullied and Dothraki.

The penultimate episode, The Bells has set record ratings for HBO with over 18.4 million who tuned into the episode.

But it wasn't all good though the creators have received a lot of backlash from fans about Daenerys turning into the mad queen.

In a behind-the-scenes video Emilia, the director and the creators gave some more insight into the emotional episode and Daenerys' reasons for burning the city down.

Meanwhile, angry viewers have started a petition on Change.Org calling on HBO to rewrite the entire eighth season.

The petition created by Dylan D reads as follows: "David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have proven themselves to be woefully incompetent writers when they have no source material (i.e. the books) to fall back on. This series deserves a final season that makes sense."

More than 280 000 people have already signed the petition.
