The on-going coronavirus pandemic has had an impact on the lives of many.

Local productions have stopped filming to adhere to President Cyril Ramaphosa's call for a 21-day country-wide lockdown to minimise the spread of the virus.

On Friday Generations: The Legacy confirmed that they were also no longer filming but promised it won't impact viewers as they have enough episode to cover the 3-week period stipulated by the government.

The show's publicist Nandipha Phantsi says even though they won’t be filming, this will have no effect on the pockets of those working on this production.

"We have enough episodes to stay on air during the lockdown period. Cast and crew will be paid as per usual," confirmed Nandipha.
