Friends fans will have to wait a little while longer to see their favourites reunite.

In February it was confirmed that the Friends reunion is officially happening.

Jennifer Aniston, Lisa Kudrow, David Schwimmer, Matt LeBlanc, Courteney Cox and Matthew Perry all signed on to return for an "exclusive untitled unscripted" special on HBO Max.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the special which was set to begin filming next week at the Warner Bros studio in Burbank has been delayed due to the global coronavirus pandemic. Filming has been pushed back to May.

Studios have shut down productions of scripted dramas, talks shows, soapies and reality TV series to curb the spread of the coronavirus.
