First look at YouTube sci-fi series with Tom Felton filmed in Cape Town

The first trailer for the sci-fi series, Origins dropped at San Diego Comic-Con on Friday. 

It follows a group of strangers stranded on a spacecraft bound for a distant planet, Origin to escape from their lives on Earth. The abandoned passengers must work together for survival, but quickly realise that one of them is far from who they claim to be.

Other cast members include: Natalia Tena, Sen Mitsuji, Nora Arnezeder at Fraser James.

The eight episode season was filmed at the Cape Town Film studios.

Speaking about the show at a panel discussion director Paul W.S. Anderson (Resident Evil) said that 60 percent of the series takes place on the spaceship while 40 percent of the story focuses on the characters background stories, reports Deadline. 

The series will premiere on YouTube Premium later this year, unfortunately the service is not available in South Africa.
