(If you have not watched season 2 stop reading now. Spoilers ahead.)
Season 2 finally revealed how Jack died and the aftermath thereof.
The season finale ended with a flash forward to Kevin travelling to Vietnam, Kate dealing with Toby’s depression and an older Randall with his social worker daughter Tess saying, “I am not ready to see her.”
At a For-Your-Consideration Emmy event in May, series creator Dan Fogelman revealed some details on what to expect in the new season.
Deadline reports that he said it will be the “biggest and most ambitious season.”
Fogelman went on to say that the season will explore Jack’s time in Vietnam, also Beth’s (Susan Kelechi Watson) backstory and Toby (Chris Sullivan) will also have a showcase.
Toby and Kate will go on a journey to start a family and we will also get to see some of the core cast in the future.
IdieWire further reports that at the same event Fogelman said that he had already shot final scenes of the series.
As for that question about who 'she' is that Tess is not ready to see Fogelman said it will be answered in season three and will also play into the series ending.
Season 2 will be on M-Net Binge (Dstv 900) on Saturday, 21 July from 21:30, and on Sunday 22 July from 21:30.
M-Net has yet to announce a premiere date for season 3.
