Cape Town – America's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell has used his golden buzzer of the season for an audition that will have you in tears.
The show veteran gave the honour to Tyler Butler-Figueroa, a violin player.
The 11-year-old cancer survivor took up the instrument to help him deal with kids who bullied him when he lost his hair as a result of chemotherapy treatment.
"When I play the violin, it helps me forget about all the bad stuff. I didn't want to be the kid with cancer. So now I'm the kid who plays the violin," said Tyler.
The young musician went on to play a rendition of Kelly Clarkson's song, Stronger, which had the audience and the judges visibly moved.
Before hitting the buzzer, Simon said: "I can tell you one thing - most people are bullied because they're better than the people who bully them. And I think you have such an amazing talent, such a personality, and I would like to say something on your behalf to the bullies."
