From fainting in front of the judges to top 10 - Nqobile tells us about her 'Idols SA' journey

Cape Town – Another Idols SA contestant bid farewell this weekend.

Nqobile Gumede made a triumphant return to the competition after she fainted during her season 12 auditions.

The 21-year-old who hails from Kwamashu in Durban was commended by Unathi for her bravery to come back to the stage.

However, after making it through to top 7, she didn't garner enough votes from the public.

In this quick-fire round of questions, Nqobile tells us more about her journey, her favourite performance, and what she learnt from the experience.

Nqobile Gumede on Idols SA.

What does it feel like at that moment when you are waiting to hear the results?

It is very scary, that's the only word I can use to describe it. The waiting can feel so long.

This was your second time around; did you feel more comfortable, and how did the previous experience help you?

I felt very comfortable this time around. In my audition this year I wasn't nervous at all.

What was your favourite performance?

My favourite performance was Malokazi because I got good feedback from the judges.

Is there a song that you wish you could have performed before you left?

The one song that I wished I could have performed is Listen by Beyoncé.

What are you going to take away from this experience?

What I have taken away from this experience is confidence, confidence, confidence.

Tune in to Idols SA Sundays at 17:00 on Mzansi Magic (DStv 161).
