His song is being played across many radio stations and is Currently sitting at number three on the Metro FM Top 40 Chart. Manu who is Congolese born in South Africa, tells Move! that he knew this song was going to be a good song and that people were going to love. However did not didn’t anticipate the overwhelming response he has received. “When I made the song I had a flash. I saw the future and knew this song was going to change my life,” he says.

WHAT INSPIRED NALINGI

Manu WorldStar, real Emmanuel Nutendji, says Nalingi means ‘I Love’ in Lingala. The song speaks about the first time he had and encounter with this girl at varsity but was too afraid to talk to her. “She blew my mind but I was afraid to talk to her. Every time I saw her during break there were always so many guys around her, and I’m not the type of guy to compete for a girl. I felt this girl was different,” he says. Manu says every time his mom or brother addresses him in French or Lingala he knows that it’s serious. That is what inspired him to write the song in Lingala to indicate how serious his feelings were for this girl. A music video was released a few days ago, Manu believes the response for the video will be just as great.
