When you talk about some of the most talented gentlemen in the R&B space in South Africa, you cannot omit Karabo Mogane, Musa Sukwane and Donald Moatshe. The three have come together to create a musical tour titled The KMD Gentlemen’s Tour. They talk to Move! about the tour.
KMD GENTLEMEN’S TOUR
Former Idols winner Karabo says the idea to create the tour came out of nowhere. “We were sitting talking over drinks and the idea came up. We decided not to wait for promoters to contact us but do this thing ourselves,” he says. Karabo also adds that fans can expect the three gentlemen to perform some of their biggest and most popular hits, and to also collaborate on each other’s songs. The trio will also perform covers to some widely loved song. The Khakhathi hit maker says besides entertaining fans, the idea is also maximise their brands, promote their music and gain more followers and fans.
MAKING HISTORY
Award-winning singer Donald aka Mr In Denial, says only positive things can come out of the tour. “I believe this is a unique concept. I don’t remember seeing anyone else do this in our industry in the country. We will be making history. You can expect three young gentlemen who are talented and soulful to give it their all. This is going to be special and interesting and they’ll be a lot of female fans,” he laughs.
PREPARATIONS
Musa who won Idols South Africa two years before Karabo, says the team of three have put a lot of effort into the show’s preparation. “We have been hard at work for the past few weeks coming up with concepts and presentation for this epic production. We guarantee a memorable night, full of surprises and twists that will leave you thrilled,” says the man behind Mthande.
Their first stop is the Carousel Casino in Hammanskraal, north of Pretoria on Saturday 26 October. Tickets for the KMD Gentlemen’s Tour range from R250 to R400 and can be bought at Computicket.
