Cape Town - The stars almost always look glamorous, but that may not always have been the case when they were younger.

See what some of your favourite Tinseltown celebs looked like when they were kids.

Meghan Markle

The Duchess of Sussex (37) and former Suits actress always looks polished with perfectly coiffed and straightened hair, but in her younger days she rocked frizzy curls and had a gap between her front teeth. We think she looked gorgeous either way!

Zac Efron

The 31-year-old heart-throb first won acclaim with the High School Musical movie franchise and has given girls goo-goo eyes ever since. As a kid however, he was a little goofy-looking and gap-toothed.

Angelina Jolie

With her gorgeous grey-blue eyes and full lips, the Maleficent actress has always been a head-turner even when she was young. In 2009 Vanity Fair readers voted her the most beautiful woman in the world, beating both Halle Berry and Gisele Bündchen.

Justin Bieber

The Canadian-born singer first stole hearts with the release of his first single, Baby, in early 2010. Since then he’s grown immensely as an artist. Recently he tied the knot with American model Hailey Baldwin after a whirlwind romance.

Ariana Grande

With her left-cheek dimple, the American pop sensation has always been a bit of a cutie. Ariana (25) first gained fame when she played the role of Kat in Nickelodeon sitcom Victorious. Since then the No Tears Left To Cry singer has refined her style quite a bit, rocking the high pony and wearing shorter, skin-baring outfits.

Drake

The Canadian-born rapper has been tearing up the charts since his debut album, Thank Me Later, was released in 2010. Currently the epitome of cool, pictures of Drake in his younger days – with thick black-rimmed glasses and afro – suggest he was a bit of a nerd.
