Cape Town - Actress Kate Hudson (39) recently opened up in an interview with AOL about motherhood and raising Rani, her three-month-old daughter with musician Danny Fujikawa (32), in a gender-neutral way.

When asked if she feels differently about raising a girl as opposed to boys, the Marshall actress said she doesn’t really have a different parenting approach than she does with her two boys, Ryder (15) – whose father is her ex-husband, musician Chris Robinson (52) – and Bingham (7), whose father is her ex-fiancé, Muse frontman Matt Bellamy (40).

“I think you just raise your kids individually regardless — like a genderless [approach]. We still don’t know what she’s going to identify as,” she said.

While it’s too early to say how her daughter will identify, Kate mentioned that the little one is quite a girly girl.

“You never know how they’re going to come out energetically, but she’s feminine, her sounds are feminine and her hands are always framing her face,” she said.

While the Oscar nominee said she’d be happy even if she had another boy, she revealed how overjoyed she was that her third child is a girl.

Kate also said she has a lot more fun picking out Rani’s clothes than she did with her boys, Us Weekly reports.

“It’s different from the boys, and it’s really fun to actually want to buy kids’ clothes,” she said.

“With the boys it was just, like, onesies,” she added.
