While social distancing in their homes, members of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra did their bit in uniting the nation the best way they know how – through music.

"Music will sustain us in this coronavirus disaster that separates us physically," Bernhard Gueller, principal guest conductor of the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra says in a video shared on YouTube. "Let music unite us spiritually."

The video continues with the Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra playing the national anthem in baroque style with musicians Erik Dippenaar on harpsichord and Refiloe Olifant on baroque violin.
