Cape Town – American rapper Eminem sat down with popular radio host Sway to talk about his tenth studio album.
The album was a surprise release (with no media build up) and is titled Kamikaze.
During the third instalment of the interview which was posted on YouTube on Thursday Sway asks - around the seven minute mark - if a lyric featured on a song called The Ringer (featured on the album) is based on a real incident.
The line to which he refers is: “Cause Agent Orange just sent the Secret Service/To meet in person to see if I really think of hurtin' him/Or ask if I'm linked to terrorists/I said, ‘Only when it comes to ink and lyricists.’
Em confirms that the incident in the lyric by saying: “They came to my studio, yeah,”.
Adding: “They were basically just asking questions about my lyrics to see what the intent was behind them and if I was making an actual threat or just expressing myself.”
