Cape Town - The Netherlands' Duncan Laurence won the 2019 Eurovision Song Contest with his song, Arcade.
According to BBC News he had been bookmakers' favourite to win and came out on top with 492 points after the public vote. Coming in second with 465 points was Italy's Alessandro Mahmoud, AKA Mahmood, followed by Russia's Sergey Lazarev with 369 points.
The last time The Netherlands won was in 1975.

Madonna went ahead with her performance at the event - which took place at the Tel Aviv Fairgrounds in Tel Aviv-Yafo, Israel - despite receiving backlash from human rights activists.
Commenting on her schedule performance ahead of Saturday's ceremony, Madonna said in a statement: "I'll never stop playing music to suit someone's political agenda nor will I stop speaking out against violations of human rights wherever in the world they may be."
