Taylor Swift gives us an intimate look at her childhood in music video for 'Christmas Tree Farm'

Cape Town - Taylor Swift just released an unexpected and heartwarming holiday song to make you want to get festive in the sweetest way.

The track is titled Christmas Tree Farm — and according to The New York Post was written less than a week ago.

In the music video, viewers get to see snow-filled home footage of the Grammy winner's idyllic Christmases, to do this, the video incorporates footage dating back to 1989, the year she was born.

About the video, Taylor – who recently performed at The American Music Awards – wrote: "I actually did grow up on a Christmas tree farm. In a gingerbread house, deep within the yummy gummy gumdrop forest. Where, funnily enough, this song is their national anthem…"
