Cape Town - American singer-songwriter SZA won over the world with her debut studio album, Ctrl, but in a recent interview she hinted her next record could be her last.
Talking to Flaunt Magazine, the 27-year-old said she knows her next album will be her best.
“My world got so much smaller so fast. I have so much to write about. I feel like I’m in a cage. I’m making the best album of my life for this next album and I know that . . . because it’s going to be my last album,” she said.
Although Ctrl, which went platinum, got five Grammy nominations she didn’t bag any awards.
“God didn’t give me the Grammys because he knows I would have quit, like I have nothing else to do,” she added.
The Love Galore singer also admitted in an interview with MTV that she only got into music recently.
“I never really wanted to do music . . . just the people around me pushed me to do it and I had nothing better to do so I thought, ‘Why not?’
“When you don’t suck at things, you should just see how far you can take it without sucking,” she said.
