Shortstraw made this barking cute dog jersey for charity and we love it!
Cape Town - This winter, Shortstraw are excited to once again be making dog jerseys, where all the profits will go to The Bowsie Foundation.
What is The Bowsie Foundation? For those who might have missed it, The Bowsie Foundation is an initiative set up by Shortstraw as a means to support animal charities in South Africa.
Their love for dogs inspired the regular use of dog iconography throughout the band's career. With the band practising in Alastair’s house for many years, they all became close with his dogs Bowser and Killah, the band mascots, the ones who had to tolerate them the most.
It came with great sadness to find out that Bowser had unfortunately died while Shortstraw was on tour in Europe in 2016.
This incredible being deserved to be honoured in any way possible, and thus she also got her own song as part of the Those Meddling Kids collection of songs.
Bowsie was released on all digital platforms in January 2018 along with the formation of the foundation.

Now that this jersey has become an annual event, the campaign deserves a nice name! There is no more fitting title than 'The Doggo Jersey'.

The band will keep orders open as long as possible! After that they will make up all the orders and ship them out.
They will only be making what gets ordered, so don't miss your chance!
