Mac Miller's family announces release of the new album over a year since his death

Cape Town – Mac Miller's family have announced the release of a posthumous album by the rapper, titled Circles.

This will be the follow-up to Swimming, and it will be released next week according to a statement on Instagram.

While he was alive, the prolific American artist released five studio albums, two extended plays (often referred to as an EP), two live albums, thirteen mixtapes, forty singles (including thirteen as a featured artist), and sixty-one music videos.

According to the statement the 26-year-old Pittsburgh rapper had been: "...well into the process of recording" Circles at the time of his death in September 2018, his family said in the statement.

About how this new record ties into Mac's previous release, his family added: "Two different styles complementing each other, completing a circle — Swimming in Circles was the concept,".
