Kim warns Drake to never threaten her family

Cape Town – On Friday morning media mogul Kanye West sent a series of tweets directed to Drake.

The pair have a complicated relationship that reached its lowest ebb when accusations flew on Twitter following Drake reportedly asking the All of the Lights hitmaker for clearance to use a song.

All of the tweets thus far have come from Kanye with Drake only posting a laughing emoji on his Instagram stories as a seemingly lighthearted reply.

Kanye West takes aim at Drake in a wild series of tweets

Cape Town - On Friday morning American rapper Kanye West kicked off a social media firestorm when he tweeted a screenshot of a text message, he reportedly received, saying that Canadian rapper Drake wanted permission to sample an old song called Say What's Real. The song was initially released in 2009.

Now Kim Kardashian-West has wadded into the beef between Kanye and Drake saying in one tweet: "My husband is the most brilliant person, the most genius person that I know. He has broken so many boundaries, everything from music, stage design, fashion and culture and will continue to change the world."

Then – seemingly touching on a post in Kanye which said that his family had been threatened – Kim warned: "@Drake Never threaten my husband or our family. He paved the way for there to be a Drake."
