CHECK OUT GIULIANA'S Q AND A HERE:

What is the biggest challenge of covering the Grammy Awards?

With so many different genres of music represented at the Grammys, the biggest challenge is to stay on top of all types of music year-round. Fortunately, music is a big part of my daily life, so I look forward to the Grammys every year.

What has been your favourite moment, red carpet moment ever?

There have been so many it's hard to name just one, but my favourite had to be when Lady Gaga arrived at the red carpet an hour earlier than scheduled in a giant egg carried by four people. Ryan managed to interview her through the egg, proving once again, you're only live once, and you never know what's going to happen on our red carpet show!

Do you have fun during the red carpet? What do you enjoy the most?

Yes! The Grammy red carpet is beyond fun and always a memorable experience year after year. I love knowing that something or someone is bound to surprise me.

Who are the celebrities that you are looking forward to seeing on the red carpet?

Beyoncé, Lizzo, Taylor Swift, Cardi B, Lil Nas X, Khalid. Post Malone, The Jonas Brothers and many more are all expected to attend this year, and I can't wait to see them on the red carpet.

Who are your favourite nominees for this years' Grammy awards?

I am a big Billie Eilish and Lizzo fan and am looking forward to seeing those two amazingly talented women.

What are your three favourite unforgettable looks from previous years on the red carpet? Which artist's look is the one you are most excited to see this year?

The Grammy red carpet is known for some of the most memorable red carpet looks like Jennifer Lopez in green Versace in 2000, Toni Braxton in 2001, Rihanna is Giambattista Valli Couture in 2015 and Lady Gaga in 2010. I'm Excited to see Lizzo, Beyoncé, Cardi B and Taylor Swift this year.

Which celebrities have most surprised you on a red carpet and why?

When I interviewed Cardi B at the 2018 Grammys, our interview ended up going viral because she was so funny and real, and people loved it! That same show, my interview with Lil Uzi Vert also became a big viral moment when I asked him "What's next for you?" and he replied, "Wake up, eat some Pop Tarts."

WATCH THE INTERVIEW HERE:

Everyone on social loved that moment! If you could interview any celebrity on the red carpet, who would it be and why?

Lizzo! I'm such a huge fan of hers, and her music and can't wait to finally meet her.

Of all the awards shows, which is your favourite, and why? (Grammys, Oscars, Golden Globes, SAG etc.)

That's a tough one. They are all so very different! I love them all for different reasons.

You have been covering the red carpet for more almost 20 years – how has the industry evolved based on what you see year by year and how have red carpet interviews changed, especially towards women, after the campaign #askhermore?

I am proud of the evolution of the red carpet, especially these past few years. I am happy that people use our incredible E! platform, broadcasting live to 160 countries, to talk about not just their projects but the causes that are important to them and also important to the viewers. I welcome those meaningful conversations and realize the incredible impact they can have.

How do you prepare for the red carpet? Do you watch the movies, read articles about talent attending? How about the clothes, hair & makeup that you are going to wear?

I am a pop culture fan, so I am researching all year long simply by loving movies, TV and music all day, every day. As for my dress selection, I have been doing this so long that I am comfortable leaving my fitting to the day before the show. I know that is cutting it close, but that's the life of a busy mom, wife and entrepreneur.

And how do you mentally prepare to face the red carpet? Do you have a ritual or empowerment phrase that you tell yourself?

The day of the event, I am very focused as I review my thoughts in my mind. When the red camera light goes on, any nerves I may have to disappear and the fun begins.

What did you learn from Joan Rivers, and what do you miss the most about her red-carpet coverage?

I learned so much from Joan Rivers in the years I was fortunate enough to work alongside her. In terms of red-carpet coverage, Joan never lost sight of how lucky all of us are to be on that carpet and always reminded us to just let loose, be real and have fun. I miss Joan as a friend every single day and am blessed to have known her.

Why do you think E! 's red carpet coverage is so successful?

E! is the only live red-carpet show broadcast all around the world in 160 countries; therefore, we always get to talk to the biggest stars of the night and bring all those great live moments to the world. You're only live once!

You are a role model for many young people that want a career in TV and fashion. What advice can you give them to succeed?

I was able to achieve my goals by doing one thing...working very, very hard. I was always incredibly focused and knew that by working hard, having a strong work ethic and being kind and honest, there was nothing I could not achieve. If I can do it, anyone can!

Describe a day in the life of Giuliana – with your busy schedule, how do you find time for yourself?

On any given day, I am working on my various endeavours. I devote each day to my work on E! as well as overseeing my businesses including my G by Giuliana clothing line, my skincare line Fountain of Truth, our six restaurants in the RPM family, my Giuliana Prosecco which I recently released and my charity Fab-U-Wish, where we grant wishes to women undergoing breast cancer treatment. I have found a way to balance my work life and my life at home with my family and have never been more fulfilled or happier in my life as I am now.

Could you share some tips on your health and beauty routines?

I have simplified my skincare routine over the past two years. I swear by Fountain of Truth beauty products, and they are all I use morning and night. The Truth Insta-Face Lift Elixir has made a noticeable difference in the fine lines of my skin. My skin truly has never looked better, brighter and healthier.

After all that you have already achieved in your career, what more is there to come for you in 2020?

Bill, our son Duke and I are about to embark on an exciting new adventure that we are announcing soon. I can't wait to bring everyone along for the ride. It's gonna be a good one!
