Cape Town – In an interview on Good Morning Britain on Monday, country star Dolly Parton revealed her husband of over 50 years Carl Thomas Dean is “not necessarily one of her biggest fans”.
The singer was there to talk about the West End premiere of 9 To 5: The Musical and her extraordinary career as well as her life. Dolly mentioned in another interview on the red carpet for the event that she felt like the show has particular relevance in the time of #MeToo.
About her husband she said: “He felt like he’d get nervous if I messed up and all that. He’s not necessarily one of my biggest fans (of) my music.”
She added: “He likes hard rock and Led Zeppelin and bluegrass music.”
She went on to elaborate: “He doesn’t dislike it, he doesn’t go out of his way to play my records, let’s put it that way.”
