Cape Town – The Queen of Soul Aretha Franklin died on Thursday from advanced pancreatic cancer according to The Associated Press.
The 76-year-old performed for sold-out crowds all over the world, sang for presidents and wowed churches packed to rafters for decades.
Her unique voice and incredible talent left a timeless mark on the entertainment world and following her death in Detroit, she has been remembered by former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, television mogul Shonda Rhimes, local celebrity Boity Thulo and many more.
