3 Liam Hemsworth references we found in Miley Cyrus' new video

Cape Town – Singer Miley Cyrus has released the music video for her heartbreakingly honest new song, Slide Away.

The beautifully filmed and moody video features the 26-year-old at a party.

Miley seems to be despondent at the get-together and often stares sadly at the distance while singing the song which was released soon after her separation from the Australian actor was announced.

The video was released last weekend, and we took a closer look and are going to unpack three pertinent references to Liam in the clip.

According to TMZ, Miley and Liam went their separate ways due to his excessive drinking. The actor's friends have denied the claims; however, it seems the musician has referenced alcohol on several occasions in the video. This narrative is reflected in the lyrics of the song, which are: "I want my house in the hills/Don't want the whiskey and pills/I don't give up easily/But I don't think I'm down."
