Cape Town – What if The Beatles never existed? What inspired the author J.R.R. Tolkien?

These are just some of the new movies coming soon to the big screen.

TOLKIEN

The film explores the formative years of the orphaned author as he finds friendship, love and artistic inspiration among a group of fellow outcasts at school. This takes him into the outbreak of World War I, which threatens to tear the “fellowship” apart. All of these experiences would inspire Tolkien to write his famous Middle-Earth novels.

CHILD’S PLAY

Aubrey Plaza (Ingrid Goes West) and Brian Tyree Henry (Atlanta) are headlining the new Child’s Play. Plaza stars as a mother who gives her son Andy, portrayed by Gabriel Bateman (Lights Out), a toy doll for his birthday, unaware of its more sinister nature. The new version of the killer doll won’t be possessed by a serial killer but will be a defective Buddy doll whose programming code was hacked.
