WATCH: The trailer for the new 'Fiela se Kind' movie is here!


Cape Town - The trailer for the latest film adaption of Fiela se Kind has just been released.

Based on the  bestselling novel by Dalene Matthee, it tells the story of Fiela Komoetie, a hardworking coloured woman living in the arid Karoo, who takes in a lost white child and raises him as her own.

Nine years later, Benjamin is removed from her care and forced to live in the Knysna Forest with a family of woodcutters who claim that he is theirs. Separated by law and geography, Fiela and Benjamin spend the next decade trying to find each other while simultaneously coming to terms with their individual identities.

The cast features Zenobia Kloppers as ‘Fiela Komoetie’, Wayne Smith as ‘Benjamin SR’, Luca Bornman as ‘Benjamin JR’, Wayne Van Rooyen as ‘Selling Komoetie’, Drikus Volshenck as ‘Elias Van Rooyen’, Cindy Swanepoel as ‘Barta Van Rooyen’, Chiara Roodt as ‘Nina JR’, Melissa Willering as ‘Nina SR’, Stefan Erasmus as ‘Tollie Komoetie SR', Andre Stoltz as ‘Lange’, and many more.

Set to Francios Van Coke and Karen Zoid's, Toe Vind Ek Jou we get scenes from the film reminiscent of the 1988 original.
