Cape Town – Get ready for some cuteness overload!
Disney has released a teaser for the live-action remake of Lady and the Tramp.
This will be the fourth remake of a Disney classic released this year following The Lion King, Aladdin and Dumbo.
Sad news for South African fans - it will not have a theatrical release as it will be the first film to launch exclusively on the Disney+ streaming service on 12 November.
According to The Verge the film was initially slated to be released in cinemas, but Disney changed their minds to encourage people to sign up to their new service.
Based on the 1955 movie it follows a pampered house dog, Lady and a stray dog, Tramp who embark on an unexpected romantic adventure. Tessa Thompson will voice Lady, and Justin Theroux voices Tramp.
Other cast members include Kiersey Clemons, Thomas Mann, Janelle Monae, Benedict Wong, Sam Elliot and Ashley Jensen.
The stars of the film, Monte and Rose walked the carpet at the Disney's annual D23 convention.
